I was so excited to start writing a rule-based supernatural tale tomorrow, but today someone I couldn't understand said I was possessed by a demon. Then, more than one person complained that it was too slow, and there were all sorts of opinions. Despite all the effort I put into writing it, I didn't get any good reviews.
To be honest, writing this was tiring, really.
If you think I'm playing the victim, then you're right. I have nothing to say, because I feel that what I wrote seriously didn't receive much praise, but I did get a lot of all sorts of opinions.
The same goes for ship girls. I've already said that I have my own way of balancing things out, everything has been weighed, and the detailed plans are all ready. Just trust me, but these kinds of voices still exist.
The purpose of writing about ship girls is simply to make the battles more diverse, the plot richer, the daily life sweeter, and the subsequent long side stories even richer and sweeter.
Now it's real. If you have any objections or think it's right, then I'm right, that's all. Whether it's just padding the word count or going crazy, it doesn't matter.
What is a work that no one praises if it's not a self-indulgent monologue?
……
As for tomorrow's rule-based ghost stories, it depends on my mood. If I'm in a good mood and want to write, they will still be published tomorrow as scheduled.
317 Preparations before the night shift
The next morning, Luo Fan approached 45, who was watching the morning sports news, and informed him of the arrangements for the night shift.
"So, you're so bored that you wanted to find something to do, so you dragged Miss Yingque and the Rebellious Squad to work the night shift at a shopping mall?"
Despite Luo Fan's attempts to explain as tactfully as possible, the cunning Sister 45 saw right through him.
He could only look away: "Well, that's the idea, but Yingque brought it up specifically, so just think of it as a few people going out for a stroll at night."
"Who would choose to stay up all night to relax? Besides, our lives are pretty relaxed now. If we really go, wouldn't I just be a third wheel?"
"Uh......"
Okay, what Sister 45 said does seem to make sense; it seems like she wouldn't get any benefits from going along...
"But, since you're the commander, I have to obey your orders, right? So, fine, I'll go."
Changing the subject, 45 broke off half a sandwich cookie and stuffed it into Luo Fan's mouth before leaving, humming a song.
He bit the biscuit in his mouth, watched the corner where 45 disappeared, and couldn't help but chuckle.
Just go, why all this roundabout stuff...
......
Meanwhile, inside the room of the Rebellion Squad.
After a night, AK12 returned to her teammates. They understood that their captain had done something important: "to spy on the defensive layout."
But their inquiries about the situation were brushed off by AK12 with the reply, "We have a mission tonight."
"What, suddenly a mission?"
AK15 only showed a relatively obvious reaction when the mission was mentioned. She got up and went to the wardrobe to take out her "tools".
"It's nothing major, just going to be the Commander and Miss Yingque's attendants. They even specifically told us not to bring weapons."
AK15 silently returned to the bedside, and put a hand on her shoulder.
RPK laughed and said, "Relax. This is a time of peace. Calling it a mission might be about as difficult as helping your neighbor find a cat."
The short-haired girl sat up in bed and used her hands to massage the other person's shoulders.
AK15 did not respond, but nodded almost imperceptibly, seemingly agreeing with RPK's statement.
She's almost gotten used to this kind of life, except for some muscle memory that hasn't faded yet...
The fact that AK12 didn't seem to care much about the mission suggests that it wasn't important and could be handled with a calm attitude.
"12. Did the commander specify what type of mission it is?"
AN94 lay down beside her and asked in a very soft voice.
"What mission?"
......
She pursed her lips: "Just minding the shop."
......
At 9:30 p.m., the group arrived at Wilderness Mall on time and met with mall staff in the third-floor workspace.
"We have obtained your information online. There are no additional requirements before the work begins. You can start working as soon as you sign the contract."
"Ah."
Luo Fan took the contract, glanced through its contents, and found nothing amiss. The salary matched the notice, except...
The contract ends with a clause stating, "This contract has no penalty for breach of contract, but breach of contract is prohibited. This contract is directly linked to the market regulator. Please respect this contract."
While not breaching the contract is a basic requirement, this last clause just seems rather unfriendly...
Luo Fan's expression hardened slightly: "May I ask what this last point means?"
The other party spread their hands: "Literally, you can't breach the contract, otherwise the consequences will be severe, but I don't know how severe. However, as you've seen, it's related to the regulatory authorities, so..."
Are there any precedents for breach of contract?
"No."
......
I checked the contract again and still didn't see anything strange, but this sense of disharmony made me even more uncomfortable.
Yingque's eyes seemed to reveal worry, but he didn't show it; he simply stood beside him.
The person in charge glanced at her, then asked, "So, what's up?"
"......Dry."
Luo Fan first had Ying Que sign her name, then it was his turn, as well as the 45th Sister and the Rebellious Squad.
We mustn't let Yingque know that they signed under false names, and that it's best to keep their actions a secret from her.
After checking several times to make sure everything was in order, the person in charge nodded in satisfaction: "There is a changing room in the back. You must change your clothes before you start working. The tools have been placed in the security room in advance. Just go to the logistics staff. They will tell you the other details. That's all. See you tomorrow."
That was really urgent; I left as soon as I finished assigning the tasks...
45 secretly gave the middle finger in the direction the person in charge left.
......
......
9: 54pm
"Ah, you've arrived. Go and change into your uniforms. Work is about to begin. Since this is your first day on the job, we've already completed the pre-closing checks. You can go directly to the monitoring room. Remember to listen to the recording pen on the desk."
When everyone went to find the post-production staff, they were informed that the inspection work had been completed.
"OK, thanks."
After receiving their security uniforms from the support staff, everyone went into the changing room.
From the moment they entered, the Defiant Squad had been keeping a close eye on the surrounding area.
This area is probably a warehouse or similar place, with many plastic mannequins and clothes displayed. After all, Wilder mainly sells clothing, so it's normal to have a lot of plastic mannequins.
But for some reason, looking at those models made them feel inexplicably uncomfortable...
Luo Fan and Ying Que were rather oblivious; they both came to these jobs with anticipation for the upcoming week of night shifts, and besides, plastic mannequins were nothing out of the ordinary for them, so there was absolutely no need to pay attention to them.
What do you think?
"I can't say..."
Before entering the locker room, RPK nudged the AK12 next to him with his shoulder.
But AK12 frowned, unable to resolve her doubts.
Because she didn't know what was wrong, but she could always feel that this feeling made her somewhat uncomfortable.
It should be said that the members of the rebellious squad all felt discomfort to varying degrees, but they did not show it.
Within seconds, AK12 patted RPK on the shoulder and walked into the locker room with him.
"Don't think too much about it yet. Let's see how things go tonight."
"Too......"
......
"commander?"
Sister 45 tugged at Luo Fan's arm.
"what happened?"
“There are surveillance cameras on the shoulders of the uniforms.”
"...Take it off and throw it away."
318 Night Shift Security Personnel Code of Conduct
They still didn't expect that after changing clothes, there would be even more troublesome things.
A person also dressed in a security uniform walked quickly up to them, carrying a small cardboard box, and looked very...enthusiastic?
"Excuse me, everyone, before we start work, you need to take out your electronic devices for safekeeping and use the mobile phones we have provided you."
"why?"
45 stepped forward to ask questions, but was stopped by AK12 with his hand.
The other party said with difficulty, "This is also the work rule here, there's nothing we can do about it, but according to the person in charge, it's for your own good."
For our own good?
The girls looked at each other, unsure whether they should hand over their phones.
But Luo Fan had already reached out and put his phone into the cardboard box.
Anyway, he has many phones, and the one he's carrying now doesn't have anything very important, so let him hand it over.
The girls had no choice but to put their phones in as well.
After they handed in their phones, the other party handed them a plastic bag and said with a smile, "These are your phones. They have the most basic functions, but don't expect too much else..."
"Okay, either way is fine. Let's go to work now. Where's the security room?"
"At the far end of the eastern section on the fourth floor of the mall, I wish you a pleasant evening. I'm leaving now. You can retrieve your phones after the shift change the next day."
Like the person in charge, they left in a hurry...
Ugh, what an annoying bunch of guys.
......
10:13pm
Following the information provided by the logistics personnel, the group arrived at the monitoring room they were supposed to go to, but as soon as they pushed open the somewhat dilapidated iron door...
"Hmm, it's a bit cold in here..."
Yingque unconsciously rubbed his arms.
"Yeah, this place doesn't seem to be very well ventilated..."
Even Luo Fan, who was also human, did not expect this place to be so cold. Shouldn't such a place maintain a suitable temperature?
Or perhaps it's precisely because of the generous salaries that the facilities here are so poor...
"But at least there's a private bathroom, isn't there?"
RPK16 said with a smile.
Then everyone noticed that there was a separate restroom behind the monitoring room, and it looked quite clean.
Perhaps this is the only redeeming quality in this room...
The rest was just the smell of smoke and alcohol.
Luo Fan nodded with an inscrutable expression.
"Well, that works too..."
The six of them found a chair and sat down, waiting for the work to begin. Luo Fan also picked up the recorder on the table as instructed by the logistics staff, preparing to play the recording.
But before starting, AK15 locked both iron doors from the inside before returning to his seat.
